5 Insightful Blogs All Digital Marketers Should Follow (Besides This One)

Trends and best practices in digital marketing can change faster than any one human can possibly keep up. Fortunately, that's why marketers have each other. Well, each other and blogs.

We're smart enough to realize that we can't stay current without help, so we turn to look to others in the field for information.

There are plenty of blogs for marketers looking for new ideas, insights, SEO tips, and more. These are great resources for marketers to use to keep their content fresh and relevant.

That said, it's difficult to keep up with every incredible marketing blog out there, so here are a few of our favorites to get you started.

1. Hubspot

This may be an obvious first choice, but that's because it's a great one. The marketing-specific section of Hubspot's blog is packed with insights for both new and very experienced marketers. The topics range from blog design, marketing metrics, to social media tips, and more.

One of my personal favorites is this blog that taught me how to make sliding CTAs without developer help.

2. The Moz Blog

SEO and digital marketing go together like...two things that should never, ever be separated. Your efforts to market your website and blog online are essentially useless if no one can ever find your site.

That's where The Moz Blog comes in. While Hubspot's blog focuses on a wide range of topics in digital marketing, Moz focuses on SEO and search rank. This narrower focus does not make their information any less useful—quite the opposite, actually.

Want to learn how to use your keywords effectively? Read this post. Wondering why no one seems to pay attention to your marketing? Find out the reason here. This is just a sample of the topics the blog covers, but there's plenty there for you to dig through on your own.

3. Copyblogger

If you're looking for ways to spice up your content, improve your writing, or get your blog post in front of the right audience, Copyblogger is for you. Among other topics, Copyblogger discusses how to create and promote engaging content to drive customers to your website.

4. SEMRush

A seriously comprehensive blog, SEMRush has a huge variety of content and produces different forms of content to keep you interested, like Slideshares, infographics, and webinars.

One really nice thing about this blog is that it's organized into specific categories like data science and video SEO, which are listed in the sidebar, so you can find exactly what you're looking for. Or, you can discover a topic you didn't even realize you wanted to learn more about.

Learn how to write a script for your marketing video, stay up-to-date on Google Analytics, and more.

5. Contently

As you may have guessed from the name, Contently is all about creating great content. Using case studies, interviews, and industry news, this blog provides all the information digital marketers needs to become expert content creators.

Additionally, Contently breaks its content down according to industry. Are you marketing for a B2B or a B2C? Tech company? Or working in the travel industry? Contently has specific content geared toward different industries and types of business so you can find the best resources for your company, quickly.

Have you read any of these blogs before? Which are your favorite? Are there any other's you'd recommend?
