You may know of Movember as the annual, month-long event during which men grow moustaches to raise awareness of prostate cancer and other male cancers. This year, the CQL team decided to put a little twist on our involvement.
Dubbing our participation as No Shave November, our Team has come together to raise money for Kid’s Food Basket, a Grand Rapids-based charity dedicated to attacking childhood hunger by providing daily lunches to 6,000 local children. For some kids, the lunch provided by Kids' Food Basket is the only one they'll eat that day.
This year, CQL will donate $1 per day for every team member who participates, which will add up to a minimum donation of $750 to Kid’s Food Basket – a small drop in the bucket to help the growing number of children in our community who are in need.
You can join us by making your own donation HERE.
The Challenge From Our President:
- This November, I’d like all the employees of CQL (even you, Jen) to participate in No Shave November. As of October 31st, we will all start with clean shaven faces, and then throughout the month of November, we will grow our facial hair in honor of No Shave November. To make it fun, we’ve captured the “before” pictures that show our clean shaven faces, and during the month, check back to see the progress of our facial hair (in Jen’s case, her legs – I’m sure her husband will hate me).
- What does this have to do with Custom Software Development, Mobile Applications or Business Intelligence Solutions? Absolutely nothing, but CQL does care about its West Michigan community, and supporting the missions of great organizations like Kid’s Food Basket.
Check back to see our progress!
