CQL Helps Wolverine Worldwide Divisions Launch Interactive eCommerce Sites
Sites Attract Instant Recognition from Visual Communication Industry Experts

Grand Rapids, Michigan – April 22, 2009 –Today, CQL announced that it has assisted Merrell United States (www.merrell.com) and Sebago Canada (www.sebago.ca), both Divisions of Wolverine World Wide, launch fully functional ecommerce environments that display their latest catalog of shoes for customers to purchase and review.

The main goal of this project was to create sophisticated websites, developed on top of Wolverine’s Global Ecommerce Platform (GEP), which can then be used as a template site for all of Wolverine’s global divisions. The new sites are flexible, and can handle catalogs from many different countries, multiple languages and different currencies. The sites also take advantage of other new functionalities built as part of the GEP, such as Omniture Web Analytics, new Search Engine Optimization standards, user registration and suggestive searching.

CQL partnered with the website design firm, Why Not Blue (BLUE), who created the front end design for the application in Adobe’s Flex framework. The new sites enhance a user’s interaction with the information, presenting a new and powerful way to reach consumers.

Further, Merrell.com was recently recognized by Communication Arts as the “Webpick of the Week” (see http://bit.ly/IUdX). Founded in 1959, Communication Arts is a leader in visual communication publications.
